Women leaders from 14 Southern states will convene in Asheville, North Carolina April 22-24, 2018 to learn, build relationships, and renew commitment to making government better, stronger, and more responsive to citizens at every level.

The Stennis Center for Public Service will be hosting Southern Women in Public Service: Coming Together to Lead leadership conference April 22 – 24, 2018 in Asheville, North Carolina, at the renowned Omni Grove Park Inn. Since the first Southern Women in Public Service conference in 1991, the Stennis Center has developed a reputation for supporting the advancement of women in public service leadership. This annual conference has become the most significant bipartisan gathering of women political leaders from across the South. The conference aims to build a stronger America through tapping more extensively into the reservoir of talent, energy, intellect and courage that women bring to council tables where important decisions are made.

Now more than ever, we need the energy, intellect, integrity, inclusiveness and determination women bring to the council tables, legislative chambers, judicial benches and executive seats where decisions vital to our future are made. Women leaders from 14 Southern states will convene in Asheville, North Carolina April 22-24, 2018 to learn, build relationships, and renew commitment to making government better, stronger, and more responsive to citizens at every level. Drawing inspiration from each other, women leaders from different political parties, races and experiences will join together to reaffirm pursuit of ‘a more perfect union.’
